PM Modi To Inaugurate Various Projects In Pune Ahead Of PMC Elections

Pune, 20th February 2022: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to visit Pune on either March 6 or 8.

The ruling Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) at the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has lined up several development projects which PM Modi will inaugurate during his one day visit ahead of the civic elections.

The projects include the inauguration of Pune Metro, laying the foundation stone of the Sangamwadi to Bundgarden river improvement project, a lottery of 1,000 houses under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, the inauguration of 70 e-buses of PMPML, inauguration of RK Laxman Art Gallery and Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Memorial at the PMC.

He may also address BJP workers.

The current term of the PMC elected body ends on March 14 and elections will be announced soon.

PM Modi’s visit was earlier planned in January but it was postponed due to Coronavirus disease (COVID19) cases.

Pune Mayor Murlidhar Mohol said that the visit of the Prime Minister has been confirmed for March but the date is yet to be decided.
