Polling for Maharashtra Legislative Assembly Elections in Pune District Set for Tomorrow

Pune, 19th November 2024: The polling for the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly Elections, including Pune District, will be held tomorrow. According to information provided by Pune District Collector and District Election Officer Dr. Suhas Diwase, 11,421 ballot units, 8,462 control units, and VVPATs have been distributed for the 21 constituencies in the Pune District.
The following materials have been distributed for smooth elections in Pune District:
– Ambegaon constituency: 346 ballot units, control units, and VVPATs
– Khed Alandi constituency: 389 ballot units, control units, and VVPATs
– Shirur constituency: 457 ballot units, control units, and VVPATs
– Daund constituency: 313 ballot units, control units, and VVPATs
– Junnar constituency: 356 ballot units, control units, and VVPATs
– Indapur constituency: 674 ballot units, 337 control units, and VVPATs
– Baramati constituency: 772 ballot units, 386 control units, and VVPATs
– Purandar constituency: 836 ballot units, 418 control units, and VVPATs
– Bhor constituency: 564 ballot units, control units, and VVPATs
– Maval constituency: 402 ballot units, control units, and VVPATs
– Chinchwad constituency: 1,128 ballot units, 564 control units, and VVPATs
– Pimpri constituency: 398 ballot units, control units, and VVPATs
– Bhosari constituency: 492 ballot units, control units, and VVPATs
– Vadgaonsheri constituency: 896 ballot units, 448 control units, and VVPATs
– Shivajinagar constituency: 280 ballot units, control units, and VVPATs
– Kothrud constituency: 387 ballot units, control units, and VVPATs
– Khadakwasla constituency: 507 ballot units, control units, and VVPATs
– Parvati constituency: 344 ballot units, control units, and VVPATs
– Hadapsar constituency: 1,064 ballot units, 532 control units, and VVPATs
– Pune Cantonment constituency: 274 control units and VVPATs
– Kasba constituency: 268 ballot units, control units, and VVPATs
Since the number of candidates exceeds 16, two ballot units are being used in seven constituencies: Indapur, Baramati, Purandar, Chinchwad, Vadgaonsheri, Hadapsar, and Pune Cantonment, while a single ballot unit is being used in the remaining 14 assembly constituencies.
Polling material was distributed in the morning under the guidance of Pune District Collector Dr. Diwase. Tables were arranged for each polling station. Information was provided through a board in the front area for the convenience of the employees collecting the material. Police security was maintained at the material distribution centres. The polling staff were guided by the Returning Officers and Assistant Returning Officers. After collecting the material, vehicles were arranged to transport the staff to the polling stations.
