Pune: 1479 new Corona patients in Pune district, 4 deaths

Pune, Feb 25, 2021: With the addition of 1479 fresh Coronavirus positive yesterday, the total number of COVID cases has reached 4,01,955 in Pune district. Also, 945 patients got discharged from hospitals while 4 people died.

Dr. Bhagwan Pawar, District Health Officer (DHO), said that out of total 4,01,955 patients 3,84,660 have been cured and discharged from hospitals, while 9204 people have died. There are still 8258 active patients undergoing treatment in different hospitals, also out of 8258, 4836 are Home Isolated. Most of the patients are from Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) area. Till now 22,68,776 people have been tested in the district.

The 4,01,955 patients include 19,96,96 from Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) area, 1,04,050 from Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC), 7120 from Cantonment areas, 70,628 are from Rural areas, and 20,461 from municipal council (Nagar Parishad) areas in the district.
