Pune: 17 Supporters Of Notorious Goon Gajanan Marne Arrested, Hunt On For 200 Others
Pimpri Chinchwad, February 21, 2021: Till now officials from Pimpri Chinchwad police have arrested 17 supporters of notorious goon Gajanan Marne.
After Marne’s release from Taloja jail, his supporters had organised a huge procession comprising over 200 vehicles to reach Pune via the Expressway. Attempts were made to spread panic by setting off firecrackers and raising slogans at the food mall at Urse Toll Naka. It was filmed by a drone.
In this case, Pimpri-Chinchwad police have handcuffed 17 members of the convoy, seized 11 luxury cars and the drone.
The main accused Gajanan Pandurang Marne, Rupesh Krishnarao Marne, Sachin Appa Takwale, Shrikant Sambhaji Pawar, Ananta Gyanoba Kadam, Pradip Dattatraya Kandare, Bapu Shrimant Babar, Ganesh Namdev Hundare, Sunil Namdev Bansod and others are yet to be arrested. Police squads have been dispatched to arrest them.
