Pune: 2601 new Corona patients in Pune district, 44 deaths

Pune, July 21, 2020: With the addition of 2601 fresh Coronavirus positive yesterday, the total number of COVID cases has reached 54,013 in Pune district. Also, 1396 patients got discharged from hospitals while 44 people died.

 

Dr Bhagwan Pawar, District Health Officer (DHO), said that out of total 54,013 patients 34,371 have been cured and discharged from hospitals, while 1387 people have died. There are still 18,215 active patients undergoing treatment including 747 critical patients. Most of the patients are from Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) area. Till now 317,020  people have been tested in the district.

 

The 54013 patients include 35,983 from Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) area, 11,997 from Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC), 707 from Pune Cantonment, 459 from Khadki Cantonment, 150 from Dehuroad Cantonment, 3634 from Pune rural areas and 1083 from municipal council (Nagar Parishad) areas in the district. In the Pune rural areas and Nagar Parishad, there are 54 from Baramati town, 224 from Daund town, 22 from Jejuri, 110 from Talegaon Dabhade, 157 from Chakan, 216 from Saswad, 28 from Lonavala, 36 from Shirur town, 61 from Alandi, 36  from Junnar town, 36 from Indapur town, 16 from Bhor town, 12 from Vadgaon, 75 from Rajguru Nagar, 1511 from Haveli, 247 from Junnar rural, 196 from Shirur, 342 from Mulshi, 67 from Velha, 112 from Bhor, 24 from Baramati rural, 55 from Indapur rural, 130 from Daund rural, 215 from Maval, 445 from Khed, 133 from Purandar and 157 from Ambegaon.

 

In Maharashtra, a total of 5460 patients were discharged while 8240 new Covid-19 cases were reported yesterday. The current count of COVID19 patients in the state of Maharashtra is 318695. As of yesterday,  there are 1,31,334 active cases in the state. 1,75,029 patients have been cured until now.

 

According to the Union Health Ministry, the number of Coronavirus positive patients has reached 1,155,191 across the country. Out of this, 724,577 have been cured and discharged from hospitals while 28,084 people have died and one patient has migrated out of the country. There are still 402,529 active patients undergoing treatment in hospitals across the country.
