Pune: 28-Year-Old Woman Gym Trainer Raped By Colleague In Kharadi

Pune, December 21, 2020: A gym trainer was allegedly raped in Kharadi by her colleague who had laced her soft drink with a sedative. The accused also threatened the woman saying that he had recorded the video and asked her not to tell anyone about the incident.

The 28-year-old woman has lodged a complaint at Chandannagar police station. A case has been registered against Deepak Chowgule, a resident of Pimpri Chinchwad.

According to police, the victim and the accused Chougule were working as trainers in a gym in Kharadi. Three days ago, Chowgule made a Facebook call to the victim saying he was hungry and called her with a lunch box. When the woman went there lunch box, he offered her soft drink. She became unconscious and the accused raped her.

The victim was shocked when she regained consciousness. At that time, the accused showed her the video recording and threatened to make the video viral if she told anyone about the incident.

However, she told about the incident to her friend. She then went to Chandannagar police station and lodged a complaint against the accused. Police are searching for the accused. The matter is being investigated by Police Sub-Inspector Kiran Aute.
