30-40 School Students Injured in ST Bus Accident on Chaufula-Supe Road

Pune, Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Sunetra Pawar has taken immediate cognisance of the accident involving a State Transport (ST) bus on the Chaufula-Supe road on Wednesday morning, in which 30 to 40 students of Vidya Pratishthan’s school in Supe were injured.

Pawar spoke to the additional superintendent of police and the school principal over the phone and directed the administration to ensure immediate and the best possible medical treatment for the injured students.

The accident occurred in the morning when the students were travelling to school as usual in an ST bus. After receiving information about the incident, local residents and officials rushed to the spot and launched relief efforts.

The injured students were immediately shifted to hospitals in Patas, Chaufula and Loni Kalbhor for treatment.

Taking note of the seriousness of the incident, Pawar spoke to the additional superintendent of police and the principal of Vidya Pratishthan’s school to enquire about the students’ condition. She also directed officials to ensure that all necessary assistance was provided promptly at the accident site and hospitals.

The injured students are currently undergoing treatment and their condition is reported to be stable, according to the administration. Pawar also appealed to parents and residents not to panic.
