Pune: 5 Accidents Near Navale Bridge In Last 11 Days

Narhe, 1st November 2021: The accident series continues at Navale Bridge on Pune -Bangalore highway as the selfie point experienced another mishap on Sunday morning. There have been five accidents near the same spot in eleven days and citizens have expressed their anger over administrative negligence on this issue.

 

On Sunday morning two heavy vehicles hit each other on the highway slope between the New Katraj tunnel and Navale bridge. A truck driver sustained injuries after his truck hit another truck travelling ahead at the bridge.

 

Here are details of previous accidents on the Navale bridge:

First accident (October 21):

Near Selfie Point – Two women were killed and five others were seriously injured in the accident.

Second Accident (October 22): At the same place again, four people died on the spot and 13 others were injured in the accident.

 

Third accident (October 23): A truck driver lost control of his vehicle in an accident near Navale bridge around 12.30 am hitting a tempo, a two-wheeler and a four-wheeler. Two women on the bike were injured in the accident.

 

Fourth accident (October 28): A truck driver lost control of his vehicle at Selfie Point in the Navale bridge area and the container went straight to the service road. Fortunately, no one was killed, but the container driver was injured.

 

Fifth accident (October 31): A truck carrying a railway bogie hit a container from behind at around 2 pm. Four vehicles were damaged in this accident.
