Pune: Ammunition Factory Khadki Worker Injured In Accident During Explosive Drying

Khadki, 25th January 2022: An accident took place in one of the production Section during afternoon on 24th January, 2022 at Ammunition Factory Khadki, Pune, during drying of explosives in which D. R.Thakre, Junior Works Manager/Technical (Chemical) got injured and is hospitalized.
“No casualty occurred as well as no other person got injured. The cause of the accident is being ascertained by ordering an immediate higher level departmental enquiry”, defence ministry stated in a press release.
Ammunition Factory Khadki (AFK), established in 1869, presently a unit of Munitions India Limited,under Ministry of Defence, a Government of India enterprise, is a premier unit for small arms and artillery ammunition for Indian Armed Forces.
