Pune: Anti-Narcotics Cell Arrests Smuggler From Haryana With Charas Worth Rs 10 Lakh

Pune, 18th August 2021: The anti-narcotics cell-1 of Pune city police arrested a smuggler from Haryana for selling one kg of charas worth Rs 10.1 lakh.

 

The arrested person has been identified as Vikas Babbarsinh Itkan (22), a resident of Hisar, Haryana.

While patrolling on August 17, a team led by Police Inspector Vinayak Gaikwad saw a man walking suspiciously on the road near Khadki Bazaar bus stand. He was taken into custody and cops found charas in his sack. An FIR was registered against him at Khadki police station for offences under the relevant sections of the NDPS Act and he has been arrested.

 

The action was taken under the guidance of Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crime) Shrinivas Ghadge, ACP Surendra Deshmukh and Inspector Gaikwad.

 

The team included API Laxman Dhengale and police personnel Sujit Wadekar, Sandeep Jadhav, Rahul Joshi, Vishal Dalvi, Pandurang Pawar, Praveen Uttekar, Vishal Shinde, Sandesh Kakade, Rehana Sheikh, Nitesh Jadhav and Yogesh Mohite.
