Pune: By Pretending To Be Police Officer, College Youth Robbed Of Rs 20,000

Pune, 13th September 2022: An incident occurred in the Narhe area where a college youth was threatened and robbed by a person pretending to be a policeman. In this regard, a case has been registered by the Sinhagad police against the accused. A college youth has filed a complaint at Sinhagad police station.

The complainant lives in a society in Narhe area. Reportedly, the accused had pretended that he was an Assistant Police Inspector at Khadki Police Station.

 

 

 

A week ago, the accused went to the complainant’s house. By faking the complaint and stating that “You bring boys and girls to the flat which is causing a disturbance in the area and we received a complaint regarding the same,” the accused extorted Rs 20,000 from the young man by threatening to take action.

 

When the young man inquired, he realized that he had been cheated. He recently lodged a complaint with the police and Assistant Police Inspector Rahul Yadav is investigating the matter further.
