Pune Cantonment Board Clears Encroachments In Ghorpadi

Camp, 12th May 2022: An anti-encroachment drive was carried out on 11.5.2022 at Ghorpadi Bazar and Ghorpadi village area around 8.30 am to 6.00 pm, which is under the jurisdiction of the Pune Cantonment Board (PCB).

The drive was undertaken on the order of the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Pune Cantonment Board. In a concerted effort by the staff of all major sections of the Cantonment Board, Pune police and equipments, the drive was carried out systematically.

Encroachments were successfully removed with the help of police authorities (Mundhwa and Wanowrie Police Stations) and Quick Reaction Teams (QRT). In spite of stiff resistance from the local public/residents of the area, the area was cleared for the smooth functioning of traffic and pedestrians.
