Pune: Chief Minister Not Accepting Dhananjay Munde’s Resignation Says Baramati MP Supriya Sule

Baramati, 8th January 2025: Due to the Beed District fiasco involving the kidnap and murder of Sarpanch Santosh Deshmukh, Maharashtra Cabinet Minister and Parli MLA Dhananjay Munde is under severe scrutiny from all sections, including members of his own Mahayuti alliance who are demanding his resignation. Amidst this, Baramati MP Supriya Sule has stated that the Chief Minister is not accepting Dhananjay Munde’s resignation despite widespread demands.
MP Supriya Sule, who was in her constituency yesterday, interacted with the media. She has recently spoken extensively about the chaotic situation in Beed following the Massajog Sarpanch’s kidnap and murder, reportedly linked to an extortion scam. In this case, Walmik Karad, a close aide of Minister Dhananjay Munde, has been arrested.
The Mahayuti alliance, consisting of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Eknath Shinde-led Shiv Sena, and Ajit Pawar-led Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), is at odds over the issue. BJP MLA Suresh Dhas and NCP MLA Prakash Solanke have already demanded Munde’s resignation. Commenting on this, MP Supriya Sule said Chief Minister Fadnavis should address the question of Munde’s resignation. She stated, “Even though Mahayuti’s Suresh Dhas and Solanke have demanded his resignation, the Chief Minister is not taking a decision on this. He will have to be asked about this.”
Regarding the unresolved issue of the Guardian Minister of Pune district, Sule remarked, “I have seen power closely for many years. But I have never seen such a tug of war over the post of Guardian Minister. What is the secret behind the post of Guardian Minister? I have not understood this till now.”
Commenting on the elections in New Delhi, Sule expressed concerns about transparency, stating that Arvind Kejriwal doesn’t know where many voters have come from and has submitted a list of them. She requested the Election Commission of India (ECI) to ensure transparent elections.
When asked about Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar’s recent controversial statement in Baramati, Sule responded, “I have never had any differences of opinion or disagreements regarding the Pawar family, yesterday, today, and tomorrow. Everyone knows this. Family matters are within the threshold, and social responsibilities are outside the threshold.”
Regarding Ajit Pawar’s statement to an action, “You have given your votes, so you are not my owner,” and Sanjay Gaikwad’s comment, Sule simply responded with “Ram Krishna Hari.”
