Pune Customs Busts Drug Trafficking Racket, Seizes 1 Kg Meth Worth Rs 5 Crores
Pune, 31st May 2023: In a major breakthrough, the Narcotics Cell of Pune Customs has successfully dismantled a drug trafficking racket, leading to the arrest of four individuals and the confiscation of a staggering 1 kilogram of Methamphetamine.
With an estimated market value of around Rs. 5 Crores, this seizure marks a significant blow to the illicit drug trade. The operation unfolded on the evening of May 29th when authorities intercepted a vehicle at a Toll plaza near Pune, recovering 850 grams of the illicit substance.
A subsequent search near Lonavala led to the seizure of an additional 200 grams. An ongoing investigation is underway to uncover further details.
