Pune–Danapur Special Trains Announced for Holi; Booking Opens Feb 18
Pune, 14th February 2026: Central Railway has announced special train services between Pune and Danapur to manage the additional passenger rush during the Holi 2026 period, with bookings scheduled to open from February 18, 2026.
According to the official coaching notification issued by Central Railway, Train No. 01481 (Pune–Danapur) and Train No. 01482 (Danapur–Pune) will run as Mail/Express Holi Specials under special charges.
Train No. 01481 Pune–Danapur Special will operate on Mondays and Fridays for TOD specials on February 23 and 27, 2026, and as Holi Specials on March 2 and 6, 2026. In the return direction, Train No. 01482 Danapur–Pune Special will run on Wednesdays and Sundays for TOD specials on February 25 and March 1, 2026, and as Holi Specials on March 4 and 8, 2026.
Additionally, a daily Pune–Danapur service, Train No. 01449 (Pune–Danapur) and Train No. 01450 (Danapur–Pune), will run from February 21 to 28, 2026 (TOD Specials) and from March 1 to 8, 2026 (Holi Specials), with the return services operating from February 23 to March 2, 2026 and March 3 to 10, 2026 respectively.
The trains will run between Pune and Danapur, covering major intermediate stations en route as per the regular Mail/Express operational routing for this corridor.
The composition of the Pune–Danapur specials will include AC Chair Car/AC Coaches, Sleeper Class, General Second Class and SLRD coaches, with designated General, LWS and SLRD coaches operating as unreserved accommodation.
Booking for all trips will open on February 18, 2026, at all PRS counters and through the internet booking platform of IRCTC. Unreserved coaches will be booked through the UTS system with normal unreserved charges applicable to superfast Mail/Express trains.
