Daily Pune–Gorakhpur Holi Special Announced; Booking Opens 18 February

Pune, 14th February 2026: Central Railway will run a daily Holi Special train between Pune and Gorakhpur to clear extra passenger rush during the Holi travel period, as per Coaching Notification No. 125/2026.

Train No. 01415 Pune–Gorakhpur Special will run daily from 21 February 2026 to 28 February 2026 (TOD Special) and from 1 March 2026 to 8 March 2026 (Holi Special), operating a total of eight trips in each phase. In the return direction, Train No. 01416 Gorakhpur–Pune Special will run daily from 22 February 2026 to 1 March 2026 (TOD Special) and from 2 March 2026 to 9 March 2026 (Holi Special).

Booking for the Pune–Gorakhpur–Pune Special will open from 18 February 2026 at all PRS counters and through the IRCTC website for all notified trips. General Second Class (GS), LWS and SLRD coaches will run as unreserved and will be booked through the UTS system with normal unreserved charges applicable for Superfast Mail/Express trains.

The train will operate with an ICF rake comprising 01 AC Chair Car (ACCW), 06 General Second Class Sleeper Coaches (GSCN), 04 General Second Class (GS), 05 AC 3-tier (ACCN) and 02 SLRD coaches, totalling 18 coaches.

The Pune–Gorakhpur–Pune Special will run via the main Central Railway and North Central Railway corridor covering major en route stations including Daund, Manmad, Bhusaval, Itarsi, Jabalpur, Katni, Satna, Prayagraj and Varanasi before reaching Gorakhpur in the up direction, with corresponding stoppages in the return journey.
