Pune: DIAT Professor K Balasubramanian Conferred With Fellow Of The Royal Society of Chemistry

Khadakwasla, 13th October 2022: Professor K. Balasubramanian, Dean Academics of Defence Institute of Advanced Technology (DU), Pune, has been conferred with the Fellowship of the Royal Society of Chemistry for his outstanding achievements and intense academic performance over his career both abroad and in India.

 

The Royal Society is a self-governing Fellowship made up of the most eminent scientists, engineers and technologists from the UK and the Commonwealth. Fellows and Foreign Members are elected for life through a peer review process on the basis of excellence in science.

 

There are approximately 1,700 Fellows and Foreign Members, including around 85 Nobel Laureates. Each year up to 52 Fellows and up to 10 Foreign Members are elected from a group of around 800 candidates who are proposed by the existing Fellowship.

 

Professor K. Balasubramanian did his Ph.D. from the Institute of Polymer Technology & Materials Engineering, Loughborough University, Leicestershire, UK, and worked in the UK from 2003 to 2010. He has more than 400 publications in journals and has got an H index of more than 31.
