Pune District: 4965 New Covid Cases, 31 Deaths Reported Today

Pune, 18th March 2021: A total of 4965 fresh Coronavirus disease (COVID19) positive cases were reported today in the Pune district. Also, 1766 patients got discharged from hospitals while 31 people died today.
Dr Bhagwan Pawar, District Health Officer (DHO), said that to date the total number of COVID cases has reached 4,53,532. Out of this, 4,14,086 patients have recovered and discharged from hospitals, while 9,486 people have died. There are about 30,129 active patients undergoing treatment in different hospitals or in-home isolation. Most of the patients are from Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) area. Till now 25,75,882 people have been tested in the district.
The 4,53,532 patients include 2,26,549 from Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) area; 1,18,192 from Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC); 7654 from Cantonment areas; 78,427 are from Rural areas, and 22,710 from municipal council (Nagar Parishad) areas in the district.
