Pune District Reports 1442 New COVID Cases Today, 1713 Discharged
Pune, 18th June 2021: A total of 1442 new Coronavirus disease (COVID19) patients reported in the Pune district today while 1713 people were discharged from hospitals. 23 people succumbed to the deadly virus in the last 24 hours.
According to District Health Officer (DHO) Dr Bhagwan Pawar, there are 10,154 active patients in the district and 6405 of them are admitted in hospitals while 3749 are in home isolation. Out of 1442 new cases, 280 were reported in Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC), 172 in Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC), 130 in municipal councils (Nagar Parishad), 12 in cantonments and 848 in rural areas.
Among the 23 deaths, seven were in PMC, six in PCMC, two in municipal council (Nagar Parishad), and eight in rural areas. Out of 1713 discharged patients, 318 were in PMC, 253 were in PCMC, 278 in municipal councils, 14 in cantonments and 850 in rural areas.
