Alandi, 28th July 2025: A Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) cylinder blast occurred in Pune’s Alandi area at around 5:30 am on Monday. One person was injured in the incident and has been admitted to a hospital. Fortunately, no casualties were reported.

Leading fireman Prasad Borate, who headed the operation, stated that they received an emergency call early in the morning and immediately rushed to the spot along with his team, which included Siddharth Gawade, Amit Ghundare, Sahil Kale, Vinayak Solanki, and others. He mentioned that reaching the location was challenging due to damaged roads and vehicles parked along the route.

Upon arrival, the team found the house engulfed in flames and began fire-fighting efforts without delay. They successfully brought the fire under control and removed two LPG cylinders from the premises, potentially preventing a larger explosion. The entire house was gutted by the blaze. While the exact cause of the fire is still under investigation, an LPG cylinder leak is suspected.
