Pune: Ex-Boyfriend Threatenes Married Woman With Weapons Photos, Rapes Her

Kirkatwadi, 18th February 2023: Pune’s Kirkitwadi has witnessed a shocking incident where a woman was allegedly blackmailed with weapons photographs on a mobile phone and threatened to harm her family if she refused to have a sexual relationship with her former boyfriend. The victim has filed a complaint against the accused at the Haveli Police Station (Pune rural police), and the police are currently searching for him.

According to the information provided by the police, the victim and the accused studied together in Class X and later became friends. Their friendship eventually turned into a romantic relationship, which was not acceptable to the victim’s family. Consequently, the victim was married off to another man in 2014. However, the accused attempted to contact her through social media, and when the victim blocked him, he continued to contact her through different phone numbers.

On one occasion, the accused visited the victim’s home when she was alone with her child and showed her pictures of a gun and a sword on his mobile phone. He then threatened to harm her family if she didn’t have sexual relations with him and forcibly assaulted her. The accused continued to coerce the victim into having sexual relations with him repeatedly by threatening to make their photos public. The victim eventually filed a complaint with the Haveli Police Station.

Under the guidance of Police Inspector Sadashiv Shelar, Police Sub-Inspector Rituja Mohite is leading the investigation into the matter.
