Pune: Former MLA Harshvardhan Jadhav Arrested In Attempt To Murder Case

Pune, December 15, 2020: Former MLA Harshvardhan Jadhav from Kannad constituency in Aurangabad district has been arrested by Pune city police today in connection with assaulting an elderly couple. Jadhav had complained of chest pain. He was arrested after a medical check-up at Sassoon hospital.
Based on a complaint from Aman Ajay Chadda (28), a resident of Bopodi, Chaturshringi Police station has registered FIR. Jadhav (43), a resident of Balewadi, and Isha Jha (37) of Wakad have been charged for offences under sections 307, 325, 323, 504 and 34 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). Jadhav is the son-in-law of BJP leader Raosaheb Danve, who is Union MoS for Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution.
According to police, on Monday around 8 am, Aman’s parents were riding a two-wheeler on Breman Chowk road. At the moment the accused opened his car door immediately. Due to the immediate opening of the door, Aman’s parents had an accident. Instead of helping them the accused kick him and punch Aman’s mother and father in the chest and stomach.
