Pune: Grandfather Jumps From Building As Daughter-in-Law Does Not Allow Him To Meet His Grandson

Pune, 13th October 2022: Namdev Sarodia, a grandfather, with his wife, had gone to the house of their son to meet their grandson. Enraged by him, the estranged daughter-in-law pushed them out of the house.

 

The incident of this senior citizen jumping from a building in a suicide attempt took place four years ago. This incident took place between November and December 2018. In this case, after four years, the police registered a case after the son filed a complaint against his estranged wife.

 

A case has been registered against Shalini alias Shivani, mother-in-law Manilata Sharma, and brother-in-law Shekhar Sharma (all three are residents of Baner, Pune). Sandeep Namdev Sarodia (age 52, Resident of Baner) has filed a complaint at Chaturshringi police station.

Judge Sandeep Sarodia and Shalini got divorced due to a family dispute. His father had gone to his estranged daughter-in-law’s house in November 2018 to meet his grandson. At that time, he was pushed out of the house by his in-laws. Even when his grandfather was sick, he expressed his desire to meet his grandson. But the accused did not let him meet. Due to this, Namdev’s mind was affected, and he jumped from the fourth floor of the house after writing a suicide note.

 

Meanwhile, the police informed that the complaint was filed late after receiving the report of the letter and also because the mother of the complainant judge was undergoing treatment. Assistant Police Inspector S. Gaikwad is investigating this case.
