Pune: Historic Moment As Woman Drives ST Bus For First Time In Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation
Pune, 9th June 2023: A remarkable milestone has been reached in the history of the Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC), which holds great significance for the people of Maharashtra. For the very first time, a bus has been skillfully driven by a woman driver, marking a significant step forward in breaking gender barriers.
The extraordinary achievement has garnered widespread appreciation from all quarters. A video capturing this historic incident is rapidly gaining traction on various social media platforms, with State Women’s Commission chairperson Rupali Chakankar also sharing the video to amplify its significance.
Although the ST Corporation has not released any official statement regarding this groundbreaking development, the viral video featuring the woman driver, identified as Atram, is spreading inspiration and enthusiasm across the community. Until now, ST drivers were predominantly male, but this historic event paves the way for more women drivers to be seen behind the wheels of ST buses.
