Pune: IMED Launchpad Gives Students Insights Into Starting Their Own Startups

Kothrud, 30th March 2023: The annual Launchpad event at Bharati Vidyapeeth’s Institute Of Management and Entrepreneurship Development (IMED) showcased the innovative and entrepreneurial skills of its students.
The event provided a platform for 20 teams to exhibit a diverse range of products including food, dry fruits, jewelry, photo booths, games and more. By participating in the exhibit, the students had the opportunity to test the feasibility and marketability of their products and gain insights into starting their own startups.
IMED has always focused on providing maximum exposure to its students through various events and competitions, aimed at honing their entrepreneurial and management skills. This year, IMED added a unique touch by including their Community Work through Entrepreneurship Development (CWTED) vendors in the Launchpad.
The CWTED program provides assistance to small street vendors such as chaiwalas, laundry services, and bike repair shops to enhance their business activity. IMED provided five street vendors with the opportunity to sell their products at the Launchpad event and earn profits. Over the course of the three-day event, IMED students mentored these vendors in promoting, selling, and maintaining cleanliness and hygiene while conducting their business activities.
The stalls at the event received an overwhelming response from customers, with over a thousand visitors enjoying the offerings and making robust profits for the vendors. The Launchpad event proved to be an excellent opportunity for IMED students to showcase their entrepreneurial spirit while also giving back to the community and supporting local businesses.
