Pune Job Fair: 275 Youth Selected for Tata Motors Jobs in Vadgaonsheri Constituency
Pune, 14th March 2026: A job fair organised for youth from the Vadgaonsheri constituency received an enthusiastic response, with 275 candidates being selected for employment opportunities with Tata Motors Commercial Vehicles Limited.
The employment fair was jointly organised by the Surendra Pathare Foundation and Sahyadri Bahuuddeshiya Sanstha at Ramchandra Sabhagruha in Vadgaonsheri on Saturday. A total of 376 young men and women from the constituency participated in the event. The participants included candidates who had completed Class 12, ITI, BA, BSc, BCom and diploma courses.
The selected candidates will be offered employment under the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme at Tata Motors Commercial Vehicles Limited in Pimpri-Chinchwad. They will receive a monthly stipend of ₹17,195 along with free meals and bus facilities provided by the company. The training period will be one year.
To ensure that the selected candidates can join work without delay, offer letters were distributed on the spot by Syed, a representative of Tata Motors. The selected candidates are scheduled to join from Monday (March 16).

Speaking about the initiative, Surendra Pathare, president of the Surendra Pathare Foundation and corporator, said the main objective of the job fair was to ensure that youth from East Pune do not have to travel far in search of employment and can access job opportunities within the Tata Motors group.
“This initiative aims to create a bridge between industries and the youth. We will continue to organise such programmes to provide employment opportunities to more young people,” he said.
Aishwarya Pathare, member of the Pune Municipal Corporation Education Committee and corporator, said many young people complete their education but struggle to find suitable employment opportunities.
“If they receive proper guidance and the right opportunities, they can certainly succeed. Through this job fair, several candidates received immediate job offers, which is encouraging,” she said, adding that similar initiatives would continue in the future to empower youth.
Ganesh Satav, founder-president of Sahyadri Bahuuddeshiya Sanstha, also congratulated the selected candidates and wished them success.
Participants said the entire process of the job fair—from registration to interviews—was simple, transparent and well organised. Several candidates said receiving offer letters immediately after their interviews was a positive experience.
At a time when unemployment remains a challenge, the job fair has given many young people hope and a direct pathway to employment, the participants said while expressing gratitude to the organisers.
