Baramti, 12th May 2023: To discipline the traffic in the city, it has been decided to implement some aspects of the traffic plan. In the meeting with the police, Sub-Regional Transport Office, and business representatives, some issues were decided in this regard.

Signals at major intersections in Baramati have been decided to continue from 8 am to 1 pm and from 4 pm to 8 pm. In Gandhi Chowk, with the help of traffic police and wardens, three and four-wheelers should not be allowed towards Mahavir Path and Station Road.

Apart from this, parking of three or four-wheelers should not be allowed on the roads between Gandhi Chowk-Bhigwan Chowk-Indapur Chowk-Gunwadi Chowk-Gandhi Chowk. It was also decided that vehicles could come to transport goods or drop customers to the shop but the vehicle would not be parked on the road.

Meanwhile, Anand Bhoite also said that traffic police will be present at all the major intersections of the city during rush hours, when the police are not present, vendors should bring this matter to their attention.

Meanwhile, the traders opposed parking on the roadside on odd-even dates. As parking on one side is not possible considering the number of vehicles, it is ordered that two-wheelers should be parked inside the white strips of the road, and action will be taken against the vehicles parked outside the strips.
