Daund, 25th January 2023: In Pargaon of Daund taluka, the dead bodies of seven members of the same family were found in the Bhima river bed within six days. While these seven people were said to have died by suicide, now it has taken a different turn and it is clear that their cousin killed them and threw the bodies in the river. Pune District Superintendent of Police Ankit Goyal gave this information in a press conference.
Five accused have been arrested so far. Ashok Kalyan Pawar, Sham Kalyan Pawar, Shankar Kalyan Pawar, Prakash Kalyan Pawar, and Kantabai Sarjerao Jadhav, all residents of Nighoj, taluka Parner, Ahmednagar district. All the accused will be produced in court today. After that further investigation will be done.
The police said that Mohan Pawar’s cousins committed the murder. Mohan Pawar’s cousin’s son Dhananjay met with an accident three to four months ago while he was with his son. Even when the boy was in the hospital, Mohan Pawar’s son did not tell him about this matter. After four days, he came to know about the nephew’s accident. After that, the boy died. The police said that information is coming to light that the cousin killed all of them and threw their bodies in the river, due to anger.
According to the information received, Mohan Pawar along with his wife Sangita alias Shahbai, daughter Rani, son-in-law Sham, grandsons Ritesh, Chhotu, Krishna, and son Anil have been living in Nighoj for the last few years. His son, Anil then started living in Parner and worked as a laborer.
In the investigation so far, Dhananjay, son of accused Ashok Kalyan Pawar, died accidentally at Wagholi a few months ago, the accused suspected that the deceased Mohan Uttam Pawar and his son Anil Mohan Pawar were responsible for the death and he committed the said crime to take revenge.
