Lohegaon, 29th May 2023: Following a light rainfall of 5.8 mm in Lohegaon and a substantial downpour of 48.5 mm in Pimpri-Chinchwad, a major housing society in Pune, Pride World City, is grappling with severe water logging.

The entrance of Kingsbury society within Pride World City has been particularly affected, leaving residents stranded and concerned about the impending rain.

The current situation at the Kingsbury society entrance reflects the dire conditions faced by the large housing community. With no alternative access, residents, including two-wheeler riders and pedestrians, find themselves unable to proceed in either direction. The gravity of the situation is evident, with one resident expressing frustration at the lack of action from both the society management and the builders, stating, “Such a pathetic condition, and nobody is doing anything about it.”

Shrinivas Rakale, Chairman of the Kingsbury society, acknowledged the issues caused by water logging and assured Punekar News that immediate measures are being taken to address the situation. Chairman Rakale explained that the society is located in a hilly area and is currently undergoing construction work on an adjacent building, exacerbating the challenges. “As it was a temporary entry we are starting our main entrance from 1st June and there will be no water logging issues”, he informed.
