Pune: Lt Col Kuntal Wins Ultraman India At Himachal Pradesh

Pune, 5th October 2022: Lt Col Swaroop Singh Kuntal of the Indian Army won Ultraman India organised at Pong Dam, Himachal Pradesh, by the Delhi International Triathlon from 1st to 3rd October 2022.

 

Ultraman India included activities like 10 km swimming in Pong Dam, 424 km cycling, and 84 km running on the hilly terrain. Lt Col Kuntal completed Ultraman India in 31 hours and 28 minutes. It was challenging due to the 5,500-metre elevation gain, hilly terrain and scorching temperature touching 35 degrees.

 

Lt Col Kuntal has elevated the flag of the Indian Army multiple times by winning Triathlons, Ultra-Marathons, and Stadium Runs. He was the fastest Indian in Ironman Malaysia, where he completed 3.8 km swimming, 180 km cycling, and 42.2 km running in 12 hours and 14 minutes. The officer is currently posted at the Military Institute of Technology (MIT) in Pune.
