Pune: Man Kills Friend With Cement Block, Arrested

Rawat, 6th January 2023: A 38-year-old man was killed with a cement block, which was hit on his head. Police arrested the accused within just 24 hours of this incident. This incident happened between 9.00 pm on Tuesday (3rd January) and 10.00 am on Wednesday (4th January).

It has been revealed in the police investigation that the man killed his friend due to an argument over alcohol and previous enmity. The deceased person has been identified as Rajesh Shivling Jadhav (38), a resident of Chinchwad, while the arrested accused has been identified as Somnath Subhash Badadale (40). In this case, Vikas Prakash Jadhav (36), a resident of Rawat, complained to the Rawat police station.

According to Assistant Police Inspector Vishal Jadhav, Rajesh Jadhav was living in a steel patra shed rented by the complainant. He and the accused were friends. As Rajesh lived alone, Somnath used to visit him sometimes.

Rajesh once beat up Somnath due to an argument between the two. The anger regarding the same was in Somnath’s mind. Again they argued while drinking alcohol. Due to this argument and old grudge, Somnath killed Rajesh by hitting a cement block on his head.

The police investigation team of Rawat police station under the guidance of Senior Police Inspector Shivaji Gaware arrested the accused in just 24 hours.
