Pune Metro Introduces Timings For Travelers To Wait Inside Metro Stations At Arrival And Departure, Know Details
Pune 2nd October 2023: With an aim to reduce crowds inside the metro stations, the Pune Metro has introduced timings for passengers to wait inside the station before departure or after arrival. According to the new guidelines, the travellers will be given a specific time to wait inside the metro station and this has been implemented from October 1 at all functional stations of Pune Metro.
“From 1st Oct 2023, the ticket-holding travelers may enter or leave the paid area as follows: Following the purchase of a traveler’s ticket, you have 20 minutes to enter or exit at the departure station. 90 minutes are required for admission and exit at the destination station following the purchase of a traveler’s ticket” the Pune Metro tweeted.
This will reduce the crowding inside the metro stations as many passengers wait even after completing their journey. This, according to officials, increases the number of people at platforms and creates inconvenience to other passengers who are scheduled to take the train for an immediate journey.
