Pune Metro To Run On Pimpri-Phugewadi Route From December This Year
Pimpri, 3rd November 2021: The Pune Metro is likely to run on the Pimpri-Phugewadi stretch by December this year. The 7-km-long route has five metro stations.
MahaMetro Executive Director Atul Gadgil said that the five metro stations on the priority route are Pimpri Chinchwad, Sant Tukaram Nagar, Bhosari (Nashik Phata), Kasarwadi and Phugewadi.
There are two corridors of the Pune Metro, Nigdi to Swargate and Vanaz (Kothrud) to Ramwadi, which have 30 stations. The Pune Metro railway project is likely to be completed by December 2022. The metro railway would run at its full capacity within 13 months.
