Pune: Metro Work Damages Pipeline, Underpass Route Near Sancheti Hospital Closed Till Further Notice
Pune 4th July 2023: The traffic department of the Pune city has closed the underpass route near Sancheti Hospital and Shivajinagar court till further notice after a water pipeline here was damaged during an ongoing metro work. According to officials, the pipeline has been damaged during an ongoing work of the Metro between Shimla Office and Shivajinagar Court.
The officials have already started the work to repair the damaged pipeline. Hovewer, the traffic movement from the underpass route has been banned from 3rd July between 11 pm and 6 am until further notice.
The commuters have been advised to use Sancheti Chowk-Engineering College Chowk-RTO route and Sancheti Chowk-S G Barve Chowk-Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Statue routes and go further towards their destinations. It may be noted that the PMRDA has been laying the metro line between Civil Court and Hinjewadi on this route.
