Pune, 29th June 2026: Members of the Maharashtra Navnirman Vidyarthi Sena (MNVS), the student wing of the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS), staged a protest at the Maharashtra State Examination Council headquarters in Pune on Monday over the alleged TET paper leak, demanding the arrest of the “masterminds” behind the scam and the resignation of School Education Minister Dada Bhuse.

During the protest, MNVS activists entered the office of the council’s chairman, Nandakumar Bedse, and carried his chair out of the chamber. They later placed an earthen pot on the chair as a symbolic protest against what they termed the government’s inaction and failure to safeguard students’ interests. The protesters also blackened the signboard outside the council’s office.

Addressing the protest, MNVS leaders alleged that paper leaks in examinations such as the TET, Talathi recruitment, police recruitment, MHT-CET and Class 12 board exams pointed to an organised network of corruption involving officials from the state administration and the examination system. They claimed that arresting middlemen alone was insufficient and demanded that the key conspirators be identified and arrested through a high-level, impartial investigation.

The organisation also sought the resignation of School Education Minister Dada Bhuse, stating that he should accept moral responsibility for the recurring examination paper leak cases.

MNVS Pune city president Dhananjay Dalvi warned that the agitation would be intensified if the demands were not met. “Today we removed the chairman’s chair. If necessary, we will shut down the Examination Council office and bring its functioning to a standstill until the masterminds are arrested and the education minister resigns,” he said. A large number of MNVS workers participated in the protest.
