Pimpri, 30th October 2023: The Sakal Maratha community has issued a stern warning, declaring that political leaders will no longer be permitted to conduct meetings and events within Pimpri-Chinchwad. This directive resulted in the sudden cancellation of the scheduled visit by Dharashiv MP Omraje Nimbalkar and MLA Kailas Ghadge-Patil, who were invited to an event organized by the Dharashiv Foundation.

The ongoing agitations across the state demanding Maratha reservations have gained momentum, accompanied by growing discontent towards political leaders. As protestors voice their demands through hunger strikes, marches, and demonstrations, the resistance to political leaders’ presence in villages has grown stronger. This stance has notably affected several state leaders, intensifying the pressure on them.

Pimpri-Chinchwad currently hosts a hunger strike initiated by Manoj Jarange-Patil’s movement, reinforcing the message that political figures and leaders will no longer be granted permission to hold events or meetings within the city.

Recently, the state Opposition Leader, Ambadas Danve, visited YCM Hospital in Pimpri. His presence was met with a public protest by Satish Kale of Maratha Kranti Morcha and his supporters, who displayed black flags in opposition to Danve.
