A landslide incident was reported near Kamshet tunnel at around 8 pm on Thursday following which the traffic movement towards Mumbai was affected. Though officials had cleared the debris from road till 2 am on Friday, soil was still falling on the road due to which IRB teams were called to inspect the area. One lane was still kept closed near the landslide spot.

After the inspection it has been decided to carry out the maintenance work to ensure that soil does not fall on the road and further chances of another landslide at the same place can be avoided.

The traffic movement during this period has been diverted from Kivale via old Pune-Mumbai Highway (NH4), said officials.
