Mohammad Wadi, 22nd September 2025: Taking a significant step towards sustainability, Nyati Exotica Co-operative Housing Society in Mohammad Wadi inaugurated a 60 KW “Solar-to-Grid” power project on Monday. The system was formally commissioned by Pramod Nana Bhangire, Shiv Sena Pune Nagar Pramukh and former corporator of the area.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by society residents, managing committee members, press correspondents, representatives of neighbouring societies, and the installation contractor, M/S Glaring Evolution Technologies, Pune.

The solar project, with a capacity of 60 KW, is expected to generate nearly 240 units of electricity per day on clear days. Given that the society’s common areas consume around 230 units daily, the installation is projected to significantly reduce electricity costs. Moreover, the project will help lower carbon emissions by approximately 83 tons annually, making a notable contribution to environmental conservation.

Speaking at the event, Bhangire lauded the initiative and encouraged other housing societies to adopt renewable energy solutions. “This project reflects Nyati Exotica’s strong commitment to green energy. I hope more housing societies across Pune follow this path towards a sustainable future,” he said.
