Pune: Over 50 schools set for SNBP Inter-School competition

Pune, 18th June 2025: Over fifty schools apart from hosts SNBP will lock horns in the annually held SNBP Interschool District Level Championship 2025, which begins from 21 June, 2025
This annual championship was earlier known as the SNBP Group of Institutes ‘Subhadra’ Inter-School Sports Championship.
The championship was conducted for two years 2022 and 2023 before the name was re-baptised to SNBP Interschool District Level Championship 2025 from last year.
The championship will be held in both boys and girls sections and in 5 sections. The age groups include the Under-8, 10, 12, 14 and 17 sections respectively.
The Championship will be held from 21 to 25 June 2025 at its campuses situated at Morewadi, Rahatni Chikali apart from the Hegdewar ground, Pimpri.
This year’s (2025) championship will feature 12 dynamic sports disciplines, which includes; athletics, football, hockey, volleyball, yoga, langadi, handball, cricket, throw ball, chess, karate and skating.
The event is expected to attract over 750 student-athletes apart from coaches.
Speaking ahead of the championship SNBP President – Dr. Vrishali Bhosale, said, “We strongly believe that sports are a vital part of holistic education. The SNBP Interschool Championship is our humble initiative to bring school communities together through the power of sports.”
Chairman, Dr. Dasharath Bhosale, said,”At SNBP, we promote a balance between academic growth and physical excellence. This championship is a platform where young talents can shine beyond the classroom.”
Director, Dr. Adv. Rutuja Bhosale, said, “This championship reflects our continued commitment to nurturing grassroots sports. With 12 different events, we provide opportunities for a wide range of talents to emerge and thrive.”
Dr. Firoz Hussain Shaikh, Director of Physical Education, SNBP Group of Institutes, shared:”Our vision is to create opportunities for students to grow not just in classrooms but also on the field. Through this championship, we aim to promote physical fitness, leadership, and unity among future citizens.”
The inauguration ceremony will be held on 21st June 2025.
All matches and events will be conducted under the supervision of qualified referees and officials, adhering to national-level standards of fair play and discipline.
