Pune: Pavana Dam Now 72% Full; Water Release Begins Amid Heavy Rainfall

Maval, 5th July 2025: The Pavana Dam, which quenches the thirst of Pimpri-Chinchwad residents, has now reached 72% storage capacity due to relentless torrential rains in its catchment area.
Dam authorities have announced that starting today at 12 PM, water is being released from the dam at a flow rate of 400 cusecs in Pavana Nagar, Maval. This controlled release is expected to continue until 15th July.
