Pune: PCMC ranks second in Maharashtra in Municipal Corporation category under CM’s 100 Days Action Plan

Pimpri, 1st May 2025: The Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) has been ranked second in the state in the Municipal Corporation category under the final assessment of the Chief Minister’s 100 Days Action Plan. Scoring 85.71 out of 100, PCMC stood just behind Ulhasnagar Municipal Corporation, which secured the top spot with 86.29 points. The assessment was carried out by the Quality Council of India (QCI) as part of the state government’s effort to benchmark administrative reforms and citizen-centric governance.
With this recognition, PCMC has reaffirmed its position as one of the top-performing municipal corporations in the state, known for its leadership in digital governance, infrastructure, sanitation, and responsive public service.
The Chief Minister’s 100 Days Action Plan encompassed 48 departments and multiple field-level offices, aiming to bring measurable improvements across key governance areas. In the final evaluation, QCI assessed offices on ten critical parameters including website accessibility, office infrastructure, grievance redressal, ease of living, investment promotion, and technology integration.
Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, in his announcement of the final results, congratulated the top-performing departments and officers. He praised their effective and imaginative execution of reforms, adding that such efforts have made the state’s administration more citizen-focused, efficient, and forward-looking.
Speaking about the recognition, PCMC Commissioner Shekhar Singh said, “We are honoured by this recognition and proud to represent Pimpri Chinchwad among the best in the state. I sincerely thank all our stakeholders, citizens, public representatives, and the state government for their continuous support and encouragement. This recognition reflects our collective commitment to good governance. Our journey doesn’t stop here—we will continue pushing for systemic improvements and citizen-focused service delivery.”
PCMC’s performance was distinguished by innovations such as an accessible, real-time website, AI-powered grievance redressal, GIS-based property tax reforms, smart sanitation facilities, and predictive analytics to improve civic service response times. Its consistent, data-driven performance throughout the 100 Days Program—where it had earlier topped the mid-term review—was again validated in the final results.
