Pune: PMC Decides To Conduct Third-Party Inspection Of Development Works
Pune, 14th November 2022: The municipal administration has decided to conduct a third-party inspection of the various development works carried out by the roads, buildings, water supply, and sewage management department. This inspection will be done by the company Engineers India Limited.
Since 2005, the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has adopted the policy of third-party inspection of development works. As the development work is being inspected by a third-party method, there is an opportunity to improve the quality of the work. At this time, the picture of the roads being on a large scale of disrepair came forward. The functioning of the municipal corporation was also criticized. Therefore, the road works will be inspected through a third-party organization. This organization has been appointed for that purpose. Along with the road works, the works of other departments will also be inspected.
Municipal Commissioner Vikram Kumar has recently given orders in this regard to all departments. The quality, technical examination and quality inspection of various architectural development works will be conducted through this organization. Along with this, the computer system and mobile app are in use by various departments for third-party inspection as well as the IWMS computer system being developed by the Municipal Corporation and May. Engineers India Ltd. They will be integrated with the computer system. The administration has claimed that this will reduce the inspection period and give time for concrete implementation.
