Pune: PMC Releases Guideline To Reopen Colleges, Spa Centres, Swimming Pools; Restaurants Can Remain Open Till 1 AM

Pune, February 11, 2021: The Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has issued guidelines to reopen the colleges, spa centres and swimming pools outside the containment zones in the city.

The colleges will be allowed to open from 15th February according to guidelines issued by the higher and technical education department and University Grants Commission (UGC). It is mandatory to follow the guidelines for every institution and maintain all necessary safety majors at their institutions.

According to guidelines issued by the PMC, the spa and swimming pool are also permitted to reopen. For a spa centre, it’s necessary to use disposable items for the customers. If using reusable items like towel, napkin etc, they have to be sanitized after each use.

For swimming pools, it is mandatory to follow the social distancing guidelines issued by the directorate of sports and youth services of the state government.

The PMC also decided the timings of hotels, bar, restaurants, banquets which is 7 AM to 1 AM. For shops, it is 7 AM to 11 PM and for the shops selling alcohol it’s 10 AM to 10:30 PM.

It’s is necessary to follow the guidelines for each institution. Those violating the guidelines will be prosecuted for the offence under the disaster management Act 2005.
