Pune: PMC Requests Citizens For Information On Faulty Electric Poles
Pune, 26th August 2022: The Electricity Department of the Municipal Corporation has undertaken a campaign to inspect all the electric poles in the city. Meanwhile, Srinivas Kanduul, Chief Engineer of the Electricity Department, has appealed to the local citizens to contact the Municipal Corporation regarding the areas with dangerous poles.
Citizens should contact the toll-free number – 18001030222, What App number – 9689900002 or 982209893 at SCADA Room, in case they spot a rusted pole, notice a shock-prone pole, or detect a broken junction box/feeder pillar in the city.
In the upcoming Ganesh Utsav, public Ganesh Mandals should construct mandaps without the support of street lamp posts. Also, the Electricity Department has appealed to maintain a safe distance between the street light pole and the pavilion and not to connect electricity from the junction box and feeder pillar on the street light pole.
