Pune: PMC To Announce Final Ward Composition On May 17
Shivajinagar, 11th May 2022: The final ward composition of Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) will be announced on May 17. This comes after the Supreme Court directed the Maharashtra State Election Commission to finalise the municipal election schedule within two weeks.
PMC has already submitted a draft ward structure. Major changes are expected in the central ward, including Kothrud, Baner, Balewadi and Hadapsar.

During a meeting in Mumbai yesterday, the SEC made it clear that the final ward composition will be announced on May 17.
After the final ward composition is announced, the reservation issue will be ironed out by the Election Commission within the next week. At the same time, the voter lists can be finalized and objections can be processed within the next 10 days. Therefore, it is being speculated that PMC elections may be held in June.
