Pune: PMPML And CoEP Sign MoU To Enhance Transport Services

Pune, 4th June 2021: A memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed between Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Limited (PMPML), the city’s public transport utility, and the College of Engineering Pune (CoEP), to provide necessary facilities and technology to the transport service.

PMPML Managing Director Dr Rajendra C Jagtap and CoEP Director Prof BB Ahuja signed the MoU on Wednesday (June 2).

According to the agreement, PMPML and CoEP will work together to enhance efficiency in the areas of e-mobility, skill-building, technology and cybersecurity audits, PMPML’s operations, data analytics, transport engineering, research and development, and innovation over the next few years.

“The PMPML is working in various fields related to technology and transport engineering. A partnership with a reputed and leading institution in the technology sector like CoEP will help us in many endeavours and help PMPML to grow by expanding its scope and efficiency,” PMPML Director Dr Rajendra Jagtap said.

CoEP Director Prof B Ahuja said, “We are committed to developing technically superior manpower with a sense of social responsibility while using and experimenting with engineering. We will strive to further enhance PMPML’s quality of service by working closely with the organization which is the lifeline of urban transport.”
