Pune Police Arrest Man For Setting Bikes, Cars On Fire Over Unrequited Love
Lohegaon, 26th April 2023: A young man has been arrested by Pune police for vandalizing the property of an 18-year-old girl in Khandvenagar area of Lohegaon, Pune.
The accused, identified as Shriram Ghadge, is a resident of Wagholi and was allegedly involved in a one-sided love affair with the victim.
According to the complaint filed by the victim’s father with Vimantal police station, Ghadge had been harassing his daughter for a while, and she had informed him about the same. However, the father had advised her to stay away from the accused, which seems to have angered him.
On Monday around midnight, Ghadge, along with an accomplice, went to the parking lot of the victim’s building and poured inflammable substances on her two-wheeler and three cars, setting them on fire. Two more bikes parked nearby also caught fire and were damaged.
The victim’s father filed a complaint with the police. Accused Ghadge has been arrested, and further investigations are underway.
