Pune Police Arrest Woman From Goa For Duping Youth of Rs 10 Lakh With Marriage Proposal

Koregaon Park, 3rd April 2022: The officials from Koregaon Park police station have arrested a woman from Goa who allegedly duped a youth of Rs 10 lakh under the pretext of marrying him.

 

The arrested woman has been identified as Rima Siddhant Singh Sandhu alias Sehar Sethi (47), resident of Oshiwara Jogeshwari West, Mumbai.

 

According to police, Rima had created a fake profile on a matrimonial website and uploaded a photo of another woman. She gained the trust of the 36-year-old complainant for marriage. From time to time, she took Rs 9.25 lakh from him for various reasons.

 

After realising the cheating, the man filed a complaint with the police. A team was sent to her given address but she was not found. Later, police traced her to Anjuna in Goa and arrested her with the help of local police.

 

The investigation was carried out under the supervision of Additional Commissioner of Police (west region) Rajendra Dahale, DCP (Zone 2) Sagar Patil, ACP Yashwant Gawari, Senior Inspector Vinayak Vetal, Inspector Deepali Bhujbal, Dinesh Shinde, Varsha Anthony, Tukaram Shinde, Amol Sonawane and Jyoti Raut.
