Pune Policeman Attacked With Knife By Customer For Closing Chinese Food Stall At Midnight

Lohegaon, 15th January 2023: After the police closed a Chinese food cart running till midnight at Dhanori Jakat Naka, a man attacked a policeman with a knife after not getting food. The policeman was seriously injured in the attack.

The seriously injured policeman has been identified as Naik Sachin Uttam Jagdale (38) of Vimantal police station. Mahanandeshwar alias Mallya Mahadev Batale (24), a resident of Naldurg in Osmanabad district, has been arrested in this case.

A case has been registered against him for offences under the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and Maharashtra Police Act. Police Naik Sachin Jagdale was on night patrol duty as Lohegaon Beat Marshall last night.

According to the FIR, the incident took place around 11.15 on Saturday. After getting information that food stalls are open till late at night, a team was sent. Jagdale and his colleague closed the Samaira Chinese Center at Dhanori Jakat Naka. At that time, Mahanandeshwar had come there to have dinner.

As the stall was closed, he did not get food. An angry Mahanandeshwar took a knife from the stall and attacked Jagdale. He has sustained injuries on the cheek. Later, the accused was arrested.
