Pune, 24th July 2025: In a significant move towards digital transformation, the Department of Posts will roll out its next-generation APT (Advanced Postal Technology) application across all post offices under the Pune City East Division on August 5, 2025.

The upgrade is part of the Department’s IT 2.0 initiative, aimed at modernizing postal services and enhancing the customer experience through faster, more efficient, and user-friendly digital systems.

To ensure a smooth transition, public transactions at all post offices in the division will be suspended on August 4, 2025, as the department carries out data migration, system validations, and technical configurations.

“This temporary suspension of services is essential to implement the upgraded APT system successfully,” said the Senior Superintendent of Post Offices, Pune City East Division. “We sincerely regret the inconvenience this may cause and urge customers to plan their visits accordingly.”

Highlighting the benefits of the new system, the official added, “The APT application will offer faster service delivery and a more intuitive interface, reaffirming our commitment to delivering smarter and more digitally empowered postal services to citizens.”

The Department has appealed to residents to bear with the one-day disruption, assuring that the upgraded system will contribute significantly to improved service quality in the long run.
